Pure hibiscus blossoms from Nigeria, Africa make a wonderful, refreshing thirst quencher and is popular around the world, served hot or cold. Tart and tangy it is usually sweetened, however our pure hibiscus contains no sugar so you may add your sweetener of choice according to your taste preference.

Hibiscus tea, by various names, is enjoyed in Asia, throughout Africa and in the Caribbean where it is blended with various spices and even a little rum (Jamaica). In Egypt street vendors and open air cafes serve this very popular drink, named Karkade, and even toast with a glass at wedding celebrations. I personally got hooked on Karkade while strolling through the famous Khan el-Khalili bazaar in Cairo, Egypt many years ago.
